Review of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000) by Nikolaj Z — 23 Dec 2007
I enjoyed the sense of nostalgia I got when watching the "flashback" of the old batman series mixed with the Joker performance voiced by Mark Hamill; it just felt right, and the added twisted, maniacal elements only added to my enjoyment (the little psychoanalysis monologue at the end also added another layer of appreciation towards the old series).
However, the "younger generation" after-school element of this new series still drowns out any sense of attachment to the show/movie; I mean, for a grim, futuristic setting, the theme of the show is kinda light-hearted.
