Review of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000) by David W — 04 Mar 2009

This is, in my opinion, the best animated Batman story ever. Much darker, more violent, more exciting than anything that came before. With a story that manages to be both surprising, intelligent and makes sense.

I didn't see the Batman Beyond show, but am a huge fan of The Animated Series and this is a worthy addition to both the new and old animated series. While Terry McGinnis is no Bruce Wayne and all the new fangled gadgetry is no match for the brute force that the old Batman got by with, it's still entertaining and doesn't hurt the story one bit.
