Return of the Joker is a great companion piece to the Batman Beyond series. It is just as good as Mask of the Phantasm was to Batman: TAS.
The uncensored, uncut version confirms why the Joker has been the greatest super-villain in comic book history. The movie is strongly story driven that has a great twist of Joker's presence 50 years into the future.
