An excellent animated picture that leaves Bruce Wayne in the Batcave and has a young Batman flying over Gotham City at night. Having already succeeded as a television programme and comic book series, 'Batman of the Future' makes the transition to feature film with ease. What makes this work so well, besides the superb animation, is the script: an intelligent plot and beautifully composed dialogue gives this picture heart and makes it a cut above many others of its type.
Released as 'Batman of the Future: Return of the Joker' in Australia.
