The best in Nolan's series. Now if I still have your attention, I shall Begin. Batman Begin's is a breathless tale of one man's fight for survival, and in that fight comes the most immersive origin story in cinematic history.
A long cry from both the camp and the gothic, this dark brooding emotional roller coaster is somewhat grounded in our physical realm, and when considering the Batman's own position as a mere human with brains, brawn and money it's on the cusp of being believable.
It's not the blockbuster The Dark Night ended up being, because fundamentally it's more than that. ....(to be continued).
