Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Colby H — 18 Apr 2017
Everyone knows the backstory of batman, so should I even bother saying the plot? Batman Begins till this day, is still regarded as one of the best superhero origin stories to be released. It is without a doubt in the top 5. It stars Christian Bale, and is the first installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. When this was released, it took a refreshing look on the caped crusader, after Joel Schumahcer's take on the character. We all know how that went, unfortunately. Christian Bale's performance as Batman is by far the best in the franchise, and was a good start for the trilogy. Bruce Wane, travels to the east where Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) teaches him martial arts so Wayne can help with the downfall of Gotham City. Involving an antagonist from the comics named Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy). This film was remarkable compared to some other Batman movies, and was a proper introduction to the trilogy.
Over all, Batman Begins was a very well-developed superhero origin story, and a good movie on it's own. 4/5 stars.
