Continuing my foray into the DC animated universe we have Batman: Bad Blood, a film which centres upon Bruce's home for lonely children and their quest to find the titular Batman after he is missing, presumed dead.

Despite the daft premise, and the fact that I'm not really sold on the whole "Bat family" thing (Nightwing, Robin, Batwoman, and Batwing all together) Bad blood is probably one of the more entertaining animated DC films I've seen so far. More consistent and certainly better animated than The Killing Joke and quite well thought out. Bad Blood actually has quite a good air of mystery about it. After all Batman can't really be dead. Can he?

It's a shame though that due to the films quick pace and short running time a lot of the bat families motivations and stories are glossed over, especially Night wing, who has to don the spare Bat Cape himself. More focus is given to Damian Wayne's Robin. Who simply comes off as an entitled brat. Hopefully the next Batman film I see will actually be about him. For what it's worth though Bad Blood is still a really enjoyable, albeit brief ride through a different take on Gotham city.
