Review of Batman: Bad Blood (2016) by Kevin R — 22 Feb 2016
Gotham's my bitch!
Batman disappears and appears to potentially be dead. Nightwing, former Robin Tim Drake, and current Robin, Damien Wayne, team up to protect Gotham and try to find Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile, a female vigilante, Batwoman, is also in the mix trying to bring down the man responsible for her personal destruction.
"Do I know you?".
"Intimately...and not at all.".
Jay Oliva, director of Batman vs. Robin, Justice League: War, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Doctor Strange, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, and Batman Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2, delivers Batman Bad Blood. The storyline for this picture is okay and fun to watch unfold. The action is awesome and I enjoyed the animation style. The voices fit the characters perfectly.
"Batman doesn't use guns.".
"Batman doesn't...but I do.".
I was excited to hear this was being released as my daughter and I watch all of these movies. She reminded me on Friday this was out and we ran out to Target and grabbed the blu ray. This was very entertaining and worth a viewing. This was far from my favorite DC animated release, but I'm glad I grabbed it.
"It always begins with death.".
Grade: C+/B-.
