Review of Batman: Assault on Arkham (2014) by Gerry L — 02 Nov 2014

Although inspired by the Batman Arkham video games, the film is rather more a Suicide Squad one, and their mission to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve the Joker's dirty bomb. Surprisingly copious amounts of beheadings and other types of violent deaths, profanity, and near nudity, gives this an edge is not characteristic of DC's animated features, but the storytelling tends to be flat despite some occasionally clever scenes and visualizations.
