Great. Only Tim Burton could create this gothic and 1920s Gotham. Nicholson made a great job with his Joker, so crazy and over the top but still frightening, with a great moral: he's an artist that sees beauty in caos, he thinks that changing or destroying what we consider beauty he will create his own psycotic art (examples of it are the restaurant scene or his beautiful girlfriend that he disfigures, thinking to create in this way REAL beauty).

Keaton made a great job too, sure his Bruce Wayne has class, he makes you feel how he feels without showing it too much, he doesn't need to cry at loud when he goes to the place where his parents were killed, doesn't need to scream loudly to show his rage, his expressions and his way of acting will show it.

The fight scenes aren't that good, but if you know Burton you can tell that he isn't an action movie director, even in other movies of his the fight scenes feel kinda forced, but he always covered it up very well, and it never damaged the quality of his work, here this problem is more rilevant because he had to put more action scenes than his usual works since that's a Batman movie that needs action, but you always will feel the tension of the fights and will be worried of how Batman will save the situation.

The parallelism between Joker and Tatman has been well developed, you can see the similarities in some lines that they both say, or the fact that they created each other with a clever plot-twist, THIS is how a connection should be showed, not forced, not contrived, and doesn't distract from the story.
