Review of Batman (1989) by Brandon W — 11 Jan 2015
Of all of the adaptation movies Tim Burton makes, Batman is one of those films that people actually really like. It makes sense too because Batman is a great movie. Lots of people say that Michael Keaton is the best Batman, even my mom thinks so too.
Consider that I saw Christopher Nolan's version of Batman before Tim Burton's, and I'm not going to lie, they are right. Michael Keaton does a memorable job being Batman and Bruce Wayne while not acting like the same character.
I do get to know about Bruce Wayne and Batman even though it felt like there should've been more character development on for him. It's good development don't get me wrong, it's just not great.
I knew more about the Joker then I do with the main hero. Jack Nicholson really killed it as the Joker, he's the highlight of the movie and he was having fun in it like it's his dream to do this.
The sets look incredible to look at, the effects are amazing, and the story is great. The action is good in a comic book way, and from what I heard of it, the movie is different from the comic book. However, if the story of it from their own version is fine, then I have nothing to be bothered with.
It's not perfect, but Batman is a well done comic book movie adaptation that makes me wish that Tim Burton should do more comic book movies instead of only just this and the sequel.
