I liked Jack Nicholson, but people thought later that he wasn't right for the joker part. He actually is, since the joker is suppose to be depicted exactly like how Nicholson expressed the Joker role.

Changes on characters occur and Heath Ledger had to be a more popular Joker. Over all the Joker scenes were the most entertaining in the movie, and that Batman was not really much to like. The mood was set perfectly for a Batman film, but the story wasn't there.
