Review of Batman (1989) by Ryan S — 30 May 2016
Bah. All the whining about Tim Burton's personal liberties. Give me a break! His personal liberties work in this film. We get a dark Gotham City and a dark story about Bruce Wayne's struggle with his feeling of guilt for his parents murder.
Jack Nicholson has a nice balance of insanity but purposeful in this movie. My favorite part of the movie is the scene at Vale's apartment with The Joker busting in on the two just when Keaton is about to tell her that he's Batman after coaching himself up.
