Review of Batman (1989) by Eber N — 10 Jul 2016
This is and will remain definitely my favorite movie No. 1 forever and ever, which I like to see again and again without getting tired, which I have much attachment, I consider my most prized possession, which more save a fire and especially the one I love to show and influence my descendants (when you have), because it represents my two great passions: the bizarre cinema and Batman more than anything else, is the best comic movie ever filmed and an authentic beauty.
It's a different brilliant classic everyone else but people often forget that it was the most expensive in history, has an appealing atmosphere, a brilliant script, scenes that are a delight and well-defined characters, Tim Burton did an outstanding job despite It is having never been a fan of the comics but if the dark knight, he was identified with the character and accepted the challenge of leading this large and risky project, Michael Keaton looks great as a neurotic and traumatized Bruce Wayne and as the dark and serious Batman that the world wanted to see, making us forget the funny and mannered Adam West and return to its roots as the night watchman stalking criminals from the shadows, Kim Basinger is very good as the photographer Vicki Vale who falls Wayne while investigating who is Batman, but the best of all function is Jack Nicholson who made a great role with permission from Heath Ledger, creating the psychotic, ruthless and crazed comic book Joker, stealing the film the hero and making it the best villain in the cinema history, the cast was just as great, is also worth noting that the story is amazing despite some flaws and lack of action, the music of Danny Elfman ( "Beetlejuice") is shocking and exciting already beginning to have a name in the movie superheroes, the songs of Prince that for some it was a nuisance are great and get to pace the scenes, decorated Anton Furst ( "Full Metal Jacket") are awesome, fabulous, amazing and beautiful, created a Gotham City futuristic with a retro-inspired masterpiece of Fritz Lang's "Metropolis", we must not forget its incredible design Batmobile that everyone would like to have, was a kind of machine urban warfare with firepower and hidden weapons, a last authentic, work Furst was so great that won deserved academy Award for his efforts creating something amazing, if he had not taken his own life by jumping from a building he had participated in other blockbusters, also deserve special mention the splendid photography Roger Pratt ( "Brazil") and the elegant wardrobe Bob Ringwood ( "Dune") that they are magnificent.
