At the time I said it should be called "Jack Nicholson starting as The Joker with a cameo appearance by Michael Keaton as The Batman.".
There was not enough Batman in this movie. But it was refreshing that it bore no resemblance to the series starring Adam West.
I believe it followed the comic mini series reboot of Superman with the Man Of Steel series where Batman was offended that a criminal he was shaking down was not fully intimidated by him. That Batman was refreshing and good to see him at least alluded to on screen.
I need to come back and link to the Batman origin comic I like the most.
