Review of Batkid Begins (2015) by Brandon W — 13 Jan 2016
I actually heard about the news phenomenon about this kid name Scott Miles that wants to be like Batman a few years ago. It had been talked about for days, even in my school which was really cool to know that it spread that far.
So seeing that there's a documentary for it was really thoughtful for Scott's family, but after seeing videos of Batkid, I was a bit worried about whether it had more information that was different from the videos, and not only did the documentary has a lot of information, but it was very enjoyable to watch.
It gives more details about Scott's condition and his family for what they do for a living and what also did when they saw that there's something wrong with their son. I got to know a bit about the Make-A-Wish Foundation and what they have done to make the children's wishes come true, whether it's to become a famous singer, meet celebrities, or hang out with superheroes.
The hard work that the Make-A-Wish Foundation have done is absolutely incredible and you can really tell that they really care about the children who, like they say, have lost a little bit of their childhood.
It's emotionally effective in this it can honestly make every people have a smile on their faces, and can also perhaps make the adults cry too. You get interested in how they come up with an idea and create it, especially when it's in a fast pace that it didn't get me bored.
Stuff like this makes me glad that there is still a bit of humanity in the world and with movies like Batkid Begins, I'm glad that it got made and I get to see it.
