It's big, it's loud, it's ridiculous, it's packed full of action and it has Jeff Goldblum talking! What could this film be missing? One word, charisma. I'm not a huge fan of the first Independence Day film but what that film had that this one doesn't is a tongue in cheek type tone that didn't take itself serious.
This one however took itself deathly serious and none of the big action scenes, terrible acting or bland one liners could save it from being a complete bore from start to finish.
