Review of Basquiat (1996) by Nishad P — 15 Jun 2008
Starts of slowly meandering along with the life of JMB.. the movie then picks up pace but as with all the artist biographies.. the movie soon gets lost in the melancholy of the protagonist and his vices.
. bowie plays warhol which is weird but ideal.. honestly this is the david bowie I recognise.. not the one in the prestige! forlani is refreshing.. del toro plays a weird character.. friend foe friend.
. forgettable cameos by dafoe and walken..
