Review of Basket Case (1982) by D M — 02 Feb 2011
A guy arrives in New York caring a basket with his former Siamese twin in it. The two communicate telepathically. The brother is tiny and hideously deformed and was supposed to have died following the operation to separate the two.
The pair are now bent on revenge and devise to kill the doctors who made them two. The brothers' relationship starts to fall apart when the normal one gets a lady-friend and the mutant wants to get a little-something-something too.
Oftentimes very funny (especially the stop-animation) and also very gross stuff in this horror-comedy from the guy who would later go on to direct other better films in this same cross-genre: Frankenhooker and Brain Damage.
