Review of Basket Case (1982) by Al M — 06 Oct 2012
Frank Henenlotter is a true master of bizarro B-level horror that blends horror, comedy, and pure weirdness together into a truly distinctive aesthetic. Basket Case follows a young man who comes to New York with his separated, monstrous conjoined twin in a basket.
Named Belial after the demon/pagan god, his brother proceeds to exact revenge on those who sought to separate the psychically connected brothers. Gory, hilarious, and weird as hell, Basket Case will delight fans of cult horror cinema.
