Review of Basic Instinct 2 (2006) by Mirabella 1 — 10 Feb 2010

I thought this was really good.

I know it was mocked & sneered at when it was released, but I find it to be a damn fine thriller. It's no Hitchcock, but it's certainly no Jackie Collins pot-boiler either. And Sharon Stone reprises her role as Catherine Trammell with style & grace appropriate to her age. In fact, she manages to portray her as a slightly more sympathetic person than she was in the 1st film.....as though the character had grown & gained wisdom from her life thus far.

But, then again, I liked The Colour Of Night(1992), too, so what would I know?!?!!
