Basic Instinct 2: The Human Instinct to Hate Film By Hear Say.
That should have been the title when released on DVD why? Well lets see Sharon Stone was much older in this film, the cast were a bunch of "B" actor's and the film grossed less then 10million at the box office.
Ok then why is it good..or is it? Yes it's good and why? As I stated Sharon is older, yet how is that to judge a film? She did appear naked at age 48, and she was extremely flashy and sexy. But this film unlike the first did not focus merely upon sex or eroticism instead it took some twists and turns to give ME a better thriller. Do not expect a Micheal Douglas performance from the lead male!! Expect a genuine "good" actor who did overwhelmingly good with an A-List actress Sharon Stone.

Sharon has never been sexier, if she has had plastic surgery, her surgeon is great and deserves more money. (Just Kidding on the money part).
The other actors really made the film worth it when Sharon was not on screen.
THE STORY!! This story was great, and the director did a great job adapting it to the screen...had this been Basic Instinct...meaning this was not a sequel...it would have been a hit....instead it got a few haters...and word of mouth took over...

Men are afraid to go to the movies to see older women naked...its fact! They are also scarred to admit they like older women (in a sexual way) sometimes.
The movie could have given us a look at the time between Basic Instinct & Basic Instinct 2.
Other Comments.
This was not perfect...I'll give it a 7/10 or a 60% on RT...and those are great numbers...why give it a rotten score? This is no blockbuster nor is it Silence of the Lambs (in the style of "thriller" that is) but it is a good movie. Do not listen to the buzz hate....it's worth a rent, and perhaps even a buy..I got it for around 8 bucks at Blockbuster..it was worth buying!
Sharon is now 52 and still beautiful....take back 4 years then watch this!
