Review of Basic (2003) by James W — 22 Feb 2008

I usually don't like films with a "a-ha, bet you'd never guess that!" twist at the end and this is no exception. The ending completely invalidates the rest of the film, which wasn't even much cop to begin with.

I don't think much to Connie Nielsen's acting and the relationship between her and Travolta is pantomime-silly. But the bits with S.L.J and his squad in the jungle are entertaining.
