Review of Basic (2003) by Rachel E — 18 Jun 2008

I'm not usually huge on army movies, but it was playing for free on tv, so I thought 'why not'. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns in this one. It got a little dizzying near the end, but hey it kept things interesting.

I will say that some parts of the conversations are difficult to make out, which is really bad in a movie where so much depends on what is being said.

I felt like it could have been more polished, some odd camera angles and such, but much of the acting was enjoyable. If you feel like watching an action movie but giving your brain a bit of a workout too watch this one (just be ready with the controller to turn up the volume for the hard to hear parts).
