Review of BASEketball (1998) by Mark D — 08 Jun 2011
I'm not sure how South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker became involved with this movie, because all they did was star in it. They didn't direct it, they didn't write it, and they didn't even conceive the idea.
The only reason I could think of, is so the producers could slap "Starring the creators of South Park" on all of the posters to try and sell the movie as something it's not. This movie is a genre spoof, like Airplane, The Naked Gun and the whole Scary Movie franchise, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Superhero Movie, so on and so forth.
Where as majority of those films are complete shit (with the exception of Airplane and The Naked Gun) this movie isn't that bad.
