Review of BASEketball (1998) by Tom R — 06 Jul 2011
Rewatching BASEketball, I didn't realize how much I quote this movie. From the director of Airplane!, Naked Gun, and Scary Movie 3+4, this is one of David Zucker's funniest, most criminally underseen movies.
Despite being a movie with crude jokes and slapstick, there's a pretty funny commentary on what sports has evolved into. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are hilarious and likable, somehow defying that movie slackers are mostly assh**es.
Baseketball is a mix of Happy Gilmore and South Park and if you like those, you'll be laughing immensely.
