Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Peter E — 22 Feb 2009
A very odd movie, but a very good one too, (I think). I read some people's thoughts on forums which shed some light for me.
It was an exploration of writer's block and what can happen to the creative mind when it has no outlet. Not something I can really relate to, but am certainly interested and entertained by stories like this.
Some interesting themes were used throughout the movie, like heat, buzzing sounds, etc. It was my second Coen brother's film after seeing O'Brother years ago, I will be watching Fargo next week!
