Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Lance W — 07 Dec 2009
I don't know what kind of a movie you call this. A comedic horror drama? The 2nd half of the film was quite tense, way more than your average horror movie. The side characters, mainly the producer, detectives and his boss would make you think they were comedians.
I fail to see the symbolism in this film, but maybe I don't know about guys like Faulkner that this film tries to parody. Maybe if I did my homework I would understand. By the way, if Charlie is the 'average working stiff', are they all homicidal maniacs?
