Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Macdara C — 01 Jul 2012
Surreal, dark, and wonderfully ambiguous, Barton Fink is an example of a movie that is all about themes and character. The plot is inconsequential. What is the movie about?...A little bit of everything. It comments on religion, morality, the writing process, the dynamics in Hollywood, ect. ect.
It is, however, a little too ambiguous sometimes but that's perhaps because I'm so straightforward. I love the movie but it's difficult to glean any meaning from it.
