Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Tor M — 30 Nov 2014
The Cohen's got the characters right once again, just as they do best. They are amazing. A film that is also very well acted - snappy, on point, real. Great scenes, every one is insteresting. Great written screenplay, great dialogue. It can be weird, shocking, rugged or just really funny - it oozes of Cohen.
A neat story here too, Turturro and Goodman doning one of their best roles and the chemistry is amazing - a dream team. A smart film and a very developing one. Many nice touches. I'm kind of getting a Lunch-vibe after a while. I like that. May it be the brother's most mysterious film? Meta-film is also a key here, I like that a lot.
8 out of 10 toilet paper earplugs.
