Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Paul O — 04 Jan 2011
Another masterpiece from the Coen brothers. A surreal, creepy, and darkly funny portrait of an artist who sells his soul in exchange for financial success and finds himself in Hell in the form of a dreary hotel with a fallen angel as his neighbor.
I warn you that this film requires multiple views, but then again most great films do. This is an absolute classic thats loaded with great performances and symbolism, one of my all time favorites.
