In barry lyndon, kubrick once again shows his great vision about life, after he showed us his vision about the human race in 2001:space odyssey, this time is about the tiny model of it, which is the life of a human being.,.
The key quotes in this movie is when the narrator said something about barry's ability to gain fortune and his inability to keep them long enough.,.
The big difference between barry lyndon to another kubrick's film for me is the main character. clockwork orange have the charming rebellious alex delarge, the shining have the crazy jack torrance, and lolita, dr. strangelove, spartacus, and private gomer pyle, they all are very likable characters. And that is something that barry lyndon do not have, barry lyndon characters is flawed, and not charming at all. but thank god its kubrick, only a director as skilled as Kubrick could keep us interested in a character as flawed as Lyndon.,.
This may not be the most entertaining kubrick's film, but this surely one of the most beautiful.,.
