What interests me is that the major gripe from people who give negative reviews for this film are pointing out negatives that are considered positives for something like Mad Men. This movie is like a Mad Men from the perspective of Obama.
It's a low narrative existential period piece reflecting on the sour notes of the past. If that isn't your cup of tea, I get why you wouldn't like this. If you like Mad Men and are curious as to what it would be like to see it from the eyes of the first African American to become POTUS, this is for you.
