Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Curtis J — 04 Mar 2011
Paul Giamatti leads this comic drama about a schlubby misanthropic TV producer and his love life, most particularly the pursuit of his great love. The performances are pretty good and the main reason to see the movie, with Dustin Hoffman chewing up some scenery as Barney's uncouth ex-cop father, Minnie Driver as a shrill wife, and Rosamund Pike giving an unusually low key low glam performance as his great love.
Oh and Scott Spellman is a sexy beast!
