Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Charlie D — 03 Jun 2011
Rare gem which features Barney, who is anything but a typical hero, nor a handsome heartthrob, nor a badass villain, just a guy with loads of problems and shortcomings just like anyone in the real world, played masterfully by great Paul Giamatti.
He could have seemed merely a pathetic jerk but instead this film makes you really care about him and emphasize with him. Supporting casts also shine especially Dustin Hoffman and Rosamund Pike.
