Barney's Version is a inteligent, reflecting and most inportant of all a funny picture. The cast is vell chosed, including Paul Giamatti as the jewish television producer Barney Panofsky in his funniest performance since Sideways.
And also in a very strong supporting role Dustin Hoffman as Barney father Israel "Izzy" Panofsky, who's a retierd policeman. Due to being a widow and a old man, he still have a taste for women, which have some effects on Barney's impression, but Barney himself doesn't seems to mind, he's not a better.
I almost forgetting to tell you about the plot because the character is very interesting. Barney's Version is the story about Barney's adult life, which cover all he's three marriages which all has ended in real disasters.
Barney's Version is a vell written comedy, where all the characters takes chances, specialy Paul Giamatti's Barney. Thumbs up.
