Paul Giamatti in a great role for him, looking back over his life and specifically his 3 ex wives and the special one who he thought was indeed the one played by rosamon pike. basically how a guy can do things so wrong, that relationship story especially is heartbreaking in story, the film plays well.
and Giamatti fantastic in all decades hes in. Dustin hoffman also fantastic here, playing his father, whom he loves very much and id say never judges him especially considering his odd behaviour at times during film.
a solid drama about relationships and relationships lost.
