Review of Barfly (1987) by Frederick M — 28 May 2009
Mickey Rourke (with his old face) plays Henry Chinaski (Charles Bukowski). It's a great film about those down-and-out working class people of Los Angeles. I think it decently captures the feeling of Bukowski's books. Well it should as the screenplay was written by him.
Mickey Rourke is great. He deserves more roles after his comeback in 2008 (The Wrestler). Dunaway is also very good.
