Don’t let the hype disappoint you. It’s not a perfect film, so if you go expecting it to be REALLY GREAT, you may be disappointed. However, We discussed it in the parking lot for 30 minutes after the film ended. It’s got something. I think it’s this in-between space of feeling both fulfilled and not fulfilled by viewing it that makes interesting conversation and makes it art.

Bottom line: The film both said a lot and didn’t. It’s surface level but also raising some uncomfortable questions. Oh and it’s sparkly, it can be entertaining and vibrant, and funny too. Loved the Ken dancing scene! Made me want to give ken “more love”, specifically, like the space to be “ken”.
