A family comedy that's also a pseudo-sci-fi-dystopia that's also a societal drama that tackles complex social issues by flipping a popular stereotypical toy on its head? Like... wow. The jokes are on point, and the story is surprisingly emotional and impactful. Everything from the writing, to the characters, to the acting, to the soundtrack, to its quality as an adaption, to its surprising depth... Is just absolutely amazing. Though some aspects of the ending can feel a bit muddled if you think about it, the movie is otherwise absolutely fantastic. The only reason this has a mediocre user score is because of dumb review bombers.
