Review of Barbershop (2002) by David C — 30 Apr 2008
Another of my favorite comedies. A great cast with some good writing, a classic soundtrack, and a lot of really funny moments. I just about died in the theatre during the Rosa Parks bit. Cedric really shines here.
Even the hip-hopstress Eve fares pretty well in her big screen debut. There's a wonderful sense of community and believability to this film, and I'm sad that the barbershop in my childhood was an experience likeable to a trip to the dentist.
Very funny stuff, I really liked it.
