This is a movie that really sends a thought provoking message. The message in question is about keeping one's history and respecting it. It is about keeping the big faceless corporate companies from coming in to destroy the very culture of any given city.

A person can be White, Black, Asian, Irish, Phillipino, whtever the case may be; the scenario presented in this movie is one that and does happen all across America every day. The big faceless companies are coimng into cities and destroying companies that are not just "mom and pop" type of operations. They are also part of a city's life. They are historic monuments. Not only buinsses apply here. But land itself is being destroyed just to make way for "the future." Sometimes, though, "the future" is not a bright thing. To kepe the future bright, our cities need to keep their life. Just because something isn't big and flashy doesn't mean it isn't good. That is another of the messages woven into this story. The use of the policitian in the movie only adds to how realistic and believeable it is. It is a movie that will remain relevant for years to come, and something that shows that there are truly people who still care about preserving the real America. Kudos to Ice Cube and company for yet another deep, yet funny movie.
