Review of Barbarella (1968) by Randall M — 04 Nov 2007
Not exactly a lot of story, but the zero-gravity striptease in the opening credit sequence for which it is famous is an interesting snapshot of how weird entertainment could be in the late sixties. Essentially, Jane Fonda goes around the galaxy sleeping with people, including a major character called Pygar, a blind angel who has lost the will to fly until she has sex with him in his nest.
Yeah. It's different.
