Review of Barbarella (1968) by Ivan C — 01 Jan 2009
As camp, it gets 4 stars - as a film in general, mezzo-mezzo. Fonda looks great (love the opening striptease), there are a couple of good lines, but nothing to really hold your interest - Vadim can't really tell a story.
Prototypical late 60's nonsense deserves to be in pantheon of "yeah baby' swinging shagadelic rave flicks, along with the original "Casino Royale", "Diabolique" and "In Like Flint".
