Review of Barbarella (1968) by Patrick B — 01 Jun 2010
The movie starts out as inspired camp with Jane Fonda's gravity free strip scene, but as the movie trudges along, it just gets duller and duller. After awhile, "Barbarella" just gets tiring.
Jane Fonda stops getting naked, the action scenes are few and far between, so all that's left is an okay script (by camp standards), and a bunch of freaky costumes and psychedelic images. Maybe true camp fans might enjoy this, but this was just too silly for me.
