The film is beautifully shot, with tension that unfolds slowly and great subtlety in the acting. I kind of hated the ending, though ... Barbara makes a decision that seems self-sacrificing on the surface, but that also seems utterly senseless when you consider its effect on the girl who is thrust into its consequences.
