Review of Baraka (1992) by Richie D — 09 Apr 2008
All I can say is WOW. The music really makes the huge screen film come ALIVE. Although it can be a tad too long, this "National Geographic times 1,000" plays with your emotions. It makes you look at the world around you.
It touches on our world's natural and cultural beauty, rituals, poverty, maquilas/sweat shops, overpopulation, animal cruelty, and muuuch muuuuch more in a visual manner. No need to wonder about the other side of the world! Simply touching.
