Review of Baraka (1992) by Nuno P — 21 Feb 2009
Wow! Some truly amazing scenery in this movie. And guess what, I saw this in the 70mm version, i.e. twice the normal format. Quite similar to Godfrey Reggio's Koyaanisqatsi ('83) and Powaqqatsi ('88), but this one is directed by Ron Fricke (cinematographer on Star Wars Ep.III, among other things).
This might not be a movie for everybody as there is no dialogue and no real story, but as already mentioned it is truly amazing visually.
