Review of Baraka (1992) by James W — 19 Apr 2009
Strong images. Strong music. The main character is the earth and the human race. Baraka is about the world we know and about the world we don't (nor ever see). I took from the film a criticism of civilization and technology.
Nature is favored and the modern world is depicted as a state of drone-like activities. Powerful stuff.
