Review of Baraka (1992) by Dawn D — 21 Feb 2010
It was beautiful. The problem is that it took me three viewings to watch almost all of it. I kept falling asleep. This probably can't be held against the movie. It's something about music without dialogue that does it to me everytime.
Same thing happened with 2001: A Space Odyssey. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen that whole thing.
And, just restrain yourselves from urging me to see it immediately. I will only see the first 15 minutes before falling asleep. So, there's simply no point.
